Why is it important to teach about wellbeing from a very young age?
Emotional intelligence and mental wellbeing is a fundamental building block for child's healthy development. Yet, we have created an environment that does not necessarily foster those skills. From the constant screen time, overstimulation child's brain operates constantly in a high alert state and in an autopilot mode. How to introduce mindfulness to children
Mindfulness means paying attention to the present moment.
This includes your thoughts, feelings, and the world around you.
Being mindful means being aware.
It is the opposite of being on autopilot — when we do things without really noticing.
Mindfulness helps us slow down and notice what is happening right now.
Try simple detective work

1 thing you can hear
Now:
Can you smell anything?
Can you notice if the air feels warm or cool?
Can you spot something you didn't notice when we first sat down?
That's mindfulness.
